Your trailer's braking feels off and the right side's worn. You bolt up the new assembly, wire it in, and you're done. It adjusts automatically and brings the trailer to a smooth, steady stop every time.

Hi, everyone. Steve here with etrailer.com. Let's take a look at our Terran Axle electric trailer brakes. These are self-adjusting. It's a 10 inch by 2 1/4 inch right-hand assembly for 3,500 pound axles. So folks, again, this works for 10 by 2 1/4 inch drum brake setups on 3,500 pound axles.
This is the right-hand assembly, and it's got an R stamped in the back as well, you know, in its side, and you might not always have that, but if you're looking for the left-hand assembly, that's item number TX47ZJ, sold separately. So again, today we're looking at the right-hand. It's a standard mount, and it uses that four-bolt pattern. And of course you got your electronic wires for hooking up to your wiring on your trailer, which again, then when you push the brake pedal on the towed vehicle, your brake controller is going to activate that signal all the way back there and then adjust the brakes accordingly. Now, these are self-adjusting.
That's what this cable spring and everything mechanism in here is for. It's gonna do it automatically. You do have adjuster plugs still here in the back like you do for standard brakes. That way, if you ever do need to adjust them for whatever reason, you still can manually. And some people will tell you the first time you put them on, you need to adjust them manually and kind of get everything adjusted correctly.
That could be true for you and it could not. So it's just one of those things you'll have to kind of put them on and kind of see how your particular setup operates. They do calibrate themselves as you brake. So read the instructions and everything and make sure you're doing everything according to the manufacturer's instructions, and you should be good to go. Well, folks, that is gonna wrap it up for our quick look together of this Terran Axle right-hand self-adjusting brake assembly.
I'm Steven. Thanks for watching.
